About

About ETL Systems

ETL Systems designs and manufactures RF equipment for critical infrastructure. We are trusted by the world’s top 10 satellite operators and teleports, and have exported to over 130 countries globally. Following its acquisitions of Spacepath Communications and IRT Technologies, ETL now provides a complete end-to-end RF solution between the antenna and modem.

Leveraging its 35 years of engineering expertise, the company is able to offer a unique consultative service. This expertise reaches far beyond product provision, spanning system design support, witnessed testing, rack integration, on-site support, training, and more. This approach enables ETL to improve overall system reliability, optimise performance, reduce cost pressures, and support scalability for its customer base.

01

Rapid growth

ETL’s culture of innovation has established it as a market leader in the field, with revenue growing 30x since 2003, when the company was purchased by Ian Hilditch and Dr Esen Bayar. A rapid period of growth followed the arrival of this new management team. The company’s first Surface Mount Technology (SMT) line was added in 2006, and in 2007 ETL won its first Queen’s Award for Enterprise in International trade. The company would go on to receive this accolade twice more in the decade that followed.

02

Expansion

In 2013, ETL Systems Inc was formed and the US office was opened in Virginia, on the edge of Washington DC. This enabled ETL to better serve its North American customers, and to provide them with on-the-ground support. The company expanded, exhibiting double-digit growth consecutively for more than 10 years.

03

Investment & innovation

In 2020, ETL Systems received significant investment from CBPE Capital, enabling the management team to drive their ambitious growth plan forward. In the same year, ETL launched its first R&D project in collaboration with the European Space Agency, cementing its position as not just a manufacturer, but an innovator.

04

Today and tomorrow

Today, the company offers a full suite of solutions between the antenna and the modem. Over the past decade, ETL expanded its range further through acquisitions of Atlantic Microwave, SpacePath Communications, and IRT Technologies. With unrivalled in-house design and manufacture capability, and a product portfolio that now spans the entire ground-based RF chain, the company is positioned to respond to the evolving demands of modern RF environments with agility while maintaining the high standards of quality and performance for which it has become known.
